Araştırmacılar, bebekleri 6 ay süreyle emzirmenin, hem anneyi hem de bebeği kansere karşı koruduğunu açıkladı. Araştırmalara göre, emzirme bebeğin ileriki yaşlarda obez olmasını önlüyor. Bu da kansere yol açan önemli bir faktörü ortadan kaldırıyor. Emzirme ayrıca kadınların göğüs kanserine yakalanma riskini de azaltıyor.
